Reaching the World for Jesus Christ

Who We Are

Germantown Baptist Chapel was established as a mission of the Riverview Baptist Church, on April 1, 1979, as a result of a revival conducted by Rev. Mike Jenkins. Services were held at a local camp and in the Middle School.

The first step of faith was to rent a building and to hold regularly scheduled services. This was done in November, 1979.

The second step of faith was to call a full-time pastor. The Chapel called Rev. Wm. Denny McKenzie in January, 1980.

The next step of faith was to rent a larger building. This building was located at 6 East Center Street, Germantown, Ohio. GOD blessed this move and there was continued growth.

Another step of faith was to purchase the land and construct a building. This building is the current church building located at 343 Farmersville Pike, Germantown, Ohio.

In September, 1984, the Chapel called their second pastor, Rev. Robert W. Higgins.

On June 29, 1986, the Chapel took its latest step of faith by constituting into a church.

The future looks bright for Germantown Baptist Chapel. With continued faith in Christ, He will see to our spiritual and physical growth. The Chapel is a church with a loving spirit for Jesus Christ’s work.
